Fabrizio Moretti
President
Fabrizio Moretti, the son
of the noted Italian antiques dealer,
Alfredo Moretti, was born in Prato on 6
December 1976. He graduated from classics
high school, F. Cicognini in Prato. Thanks
to the faith of his father after his
retirement in 1993, Mr. Moretti dedicated
himself to study and research and graduated
with a degree in Literature and History from
the Department of Literature and Philosophy
at the University of Florence and went on to
be the founder of Moretti Srl at the young
age of 22.
Mr. Moretti is an advisor
to the Italian Federation of Art Dealers and
a member of the Antique Association of Italy
and the National Syndicate of French
Antiquaries.
In 2004, the Minister of
Culture and French Communications, Renaud
Donnediue Vabres, awarded Mr. Moretti the
title of
Chevalier de l’Ordre des Art et des Lettres.
Thanks to his great
interest, he organized in 2004, in
collaboration with the Ministero per I Beni
e le Attività Culturali e la Sovrintendenza
Speciale per il Polo Museale Fiorentino, the
exhibition, Bartolomeo di Giovanni.
Allievo di Botticelli e Ghirlandaio,
which took place at the San Marco museum in
Florence.
In March 2005, Mr.
Moretti sponsored an exhibition catalogue
for the San Marco Museum in Florence, Da
Bernardo Daddi al Beato Angelico, a
Botticelli. Dipinti fiorentini del
Lindenau-Museum di Altenburg.
Gabriele Caioni
Director
Born in Prato in 1976,
Mr. Caioni received his high school diploma
from the classics high school, F.
Cicognini. He graduated with a degree in
Jurisprudence from the University of
Florence having written a thesis on
Comparative Private Law.
Mr. Caioni has worked for
Moretti Gallery since 1999.
In 2004, he contributed
to the collaboration between the Ministero
dei Beni e le Attività Culturali and the
Sovrintendenza Speciale per il Polo Museale
Fiorentino to produce the exhibition,
Bartolomeo di Giovanni. Collaboratore di
Ghirlandaio e Botticelli, at the Museum
of San Marco in Florence.
In June 2005, Mr. Caioni
curated L’Orlando Furioso: The
Illustrations of Paul and Gaetan Brizzi,
which took place in Florence. It was an
exhibition celebrating two artists who are
well-known for their collaborations in
animation with studios such as Walt Disney,
Steven Spielberg’s Dreamworks and Sony
Picture and Animation.
Together with Fabrizio
Moretti, in September 2005, Mr. Caioni
curated the show Da Allegretto Nuzi a
Pietro Perugino and edited its
accompanying catalogue.
In September 2007
he edited the new catalogue, Dagli eredi di
Giotto al primo Cinquecento
with
essays by Elena Capretti, Andrea De Marchi,
Francesco Frangi, Gaudenz Freuler, Nicoletta
Pons, Angelo Tartuferi and Stefan Weppelman
He is the
editorial director of the catalogue by

Flavio Gianassi
Director
Born in Prato in June
1977, Mr. Gianassi graduated from the
classics high school F. Cicognini and has a
degree in Jurisprudence from the University
of Florence with a thesis on Comparative
Private Law.
Mr. Gianassi is the
regional director of Moretti Fine Art Ltd.
in London.
Since 2001, Mr. Gianassi
has been collaborating with Moretti Gallery,
for which he has curated various exhibitions
both in Italy and abroad.
He edited, in June 2007, the
show Luigi Ghirri. A Selection
of Photos and in 2008 the monografical
exhibitions
Carole A. Feurmann
and Nicola Villa. Walking in the city.
